Location: How to Find Rose Cottage

Graham Duncalf produces hand-made furniture using traditional methods in his
workshop at Rose Cottage, Bagby, near Thirsk, North Yorkshire. During normal
hours visitors are welcome to look round the showroom at a selection of pieces
of furniture and will often see Graham in the workshop as they come in.
Bagby
is on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, just off the A19 three
miles south-east of Thirsk.
- From York, turn right from the A19 to Bagby when 2 miles south of Thirsk.
- From the South - A1(M), take the A168 for 8 miles, then take the A19 to
York. After 1.5 miles, turn left to Bagby.
- From the North, on reaching Thirsk follow signs for York (A19) and turn
left to Bagby after 2 miles.
For options 1,2 & 3, look for the sign below on the right 200yds after
entering the village.
- From Scarborough (A170) turn left to Bagby 2 miles before Thirsk. After
0.75 miles, turn right into Bagby village. Look for the sign below on the
left after 800 yds.

Rose Cottage is on the main street through Bagby village. You will
see name boards above the door and on the wall, and a standing sign at
the entrance to a small car park. The entrance to the showroom is beyond
the car park.
The area around Thirsk is well known for its hand-made
furniture. Our showroom is part of the
Thirsk
Furniture Trail (we are point 5 on the map).
The showroom is open Mon - Fri 9-5, Sat 9-4 and Sunday by appointment, but if you
are travelling some distance, you might prefer to ring in advance to
avoid disappointment.
